The Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals are hugely popular in the Sim Racing community.
As the leading pedals in Fanatic’s range they are seemingly a very customisable product that offers a great value for money.
The pedals have been around for more than half a decade and seem to have stood the test of time. Given that they have been around for some time, some respect surely needs to be put on their name!
In addition to the Clubsport V3, Fanatec have cleverly produced an inverted version of the pedals.
In 2022 Fanatec release the CSL elite V2 pedals which are their mid tier instalment of race pedals. Naturally comparisons have been made between the two as to which might be the better offering.
This article will delve into the Clubsport V3 pedals and offer you a chance to determine as to whether they are still relevant to purchase for your sim rig.

Fanatec Clubsport V3 Pedals overview
Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3 are high-resolution pedals with magnetic and contactless sensors on gas and clutch for long life and maximum performance. The pressure-sensitive brake comes with a custom-made 90 kg load cell sensor and adjustable brake stiffness and travel. The pedals have a 12-bit resolution (4096 values) on all axes, providing excellent accuracy and precision.
Fanatec Clubsport V3 Features
The Clubsport Pedals V3 come with several features that make them stand out from other pedal sets in the market. These features include:
- Magnetic and contactless sensors on gas and clutch for long life and maximum performance

Look
Credit to the designers at Fanatec for the V3 pedals. The pedal set incorporates a mainly black and red colour scheme. Embossed on the brake pedal is the Fanatec symbol in silver. The colour scheme makes for a truly nice sleek finish.
Build quality
Its highly recommended that you have a strong rig to support the V3 pedals. The pedal set is heavy, made from a solid aluminium. It’s construction is built to last and also to absorb the pressure exerted on it. There are 4 rubber feet under neath for the mounting inserts to attach to your rig.

Performance of the Fanatec Clubsport V3
If precision and accuracy to achieve your braking points is what you’re seeking then the V3 pedals will not disappoint. Whether out of the box, with the braking or damper included you’re likely to find satisfaction with the execution of these pedals.
Clutch – simulated biting point, is a great feature for those wish to use a clutch pedal in their sims. Preferences can be adjusted in the in game settings and Fan Lab software. This is something that may be most noteworthy at the start of a race for a good launch. But for my F1 brothers we know its all about the clutch paddle on the wheel for our authentic experience.

Customisation
The pedals faces are customisable with 2 options of the curved plastic face and the stronger brushed aluminium face, which is our preference in the looks department. The pedals are adjustable through the springs provided include a soft (red) and a stiffer option (black). As such you will be able to adjust the travel distance of the brake to your preference.

Damper kit for the throttle – rate of resistance is adjustable, damper kit makes application much smoother, accurate and consistent through the corners, easily adjustable by hand
Brake Performance kit
The Clubsport Fanatec has a Brake performance kit which is not supplied with the brakes and will have to be purchased separately. The stock brake comes with two rubbers that are soft and not the most durable. Racers may find that after a while they can be overpowered and wear easily. The brake performance kit will feel much sturdier and enhance the performance. It simply comes down to choice as to whether you may require the at the extra cost of £30.
Kit provides stiffer green and the softer red which can be interchanged.
Compatibility
The Clubsport Pedals V3 are compatible with PC and consoles. The pedals are compatible with all Fanatec wheel bases and with most racing wheels on the market.
Conclusion
Overall, the Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3 is an excellent choice for sim racing enthusiasts who are looking for a high-quality set of pedals that offer a customisable and realistic experience.
